Built around
life at the track.

Waterbox is a drag-racing event platform in development for racers, track owners, officials, and spectators. It connects the personal racing experience—vehicles, setups, entries, waivers, and timeslips—with the operational tools needed to organize an event.

The project includes an iOS and Android app, a track-registration website, and shared backend services. Racer mode is the default; approved track roles unlock facility setup, event management, gate, tech, staging, timing, and official race records.

For racers & crews

Racer identity & teams

  • Manage racer profiles, race numbers, contact information, emergency contacts, and profile visibility.
  • Keep racer licenses, memberships, document links, and expiration dates together.
  • Create racing teams and manage in-app crew invitations and responses.
  • Review stored notifications, read status, and account updates.

Garage & setup sheets

  • Add and edit cars, trucks, motorcycles, big rigs, and custom race vehicles.
  • Use optional VIN decoding or enter vehicle details manually.
  • Record tire pressures, suspension settings, launch RPM, fuel, boost, shift RPM, and ballast notes.
  • Track build changes, installed parts, costs, and pass counts.

  • Reserve admission subject to capacity and review pay-at-track status.

Timeslips & performance

  • Review recorded passes with vehicle filters and paginated timeslip history.
  • Compare reaction time, incremental times, eighth-mile and quarter-mile elapsed times and speeds.
  • Compare passes, review consistency, and share performance data as CSV.
  • Keep a race journal with vehicle, date, temperature, humidity, conditions, and notes.

Results & official records

  • View public brackets and recorded race results.
  • Review published championship points and personal awards or payout status.
  • Submit a protest or concern to event officials and follow its resolution.
  • Keep vehicle-specific timeslips connected to the garage.

Digital waiver experience

  • Read the current event waiver PDF and provide explicit signing consent.
  • Use typed or drawn signatures tied to the racer, event, and document revision.
  • Keep a signed copy with its signing certificate and access it from Inbox.
  • Sign the current required version again when a waiver changes.

Track setup & rules

  • Maintain approved facility details, public information, and track records.
  • Create track rules from editable templates or write facility-specific policies.
  • Set admission, test-and-tune, rental, and pit rates.

  • Configure classes, entry fees, elapsed-time limits, starting-tree settings, and race formats.

Events & registration

  • Create draft events, publish them, and manage dates, deadlines, and event status.

Track onboarding

The website is being prepared to collect track-interest requests. Track setup and operator access follow review and approval.

Payments & timing

Current workflows record pay-at-track ticket status, points, and payouts. Payment processing and real timing-hardware integrations require further implementation and validation.

Race format support

The current bracket engine supports single elimination with official winner selection. Additional formats, automatic scoring, and timing-based adjudication remain future work.
